Central Eurasian Studies (CEUS) is a regional studies and research, centering on the languages and cultures of Inner Asia(Central Asia) e.g. Kurdish, Kyrgyz, Tibetan, Uyghur, Uzbek, as well as non-Indo-European languages in East Europe like Hungarian, Finnish and Estonian, and minorities in Northern and Northeastern Asia that live among Russian, Chinese and Korean, like Mongolian, Manchurian, Kalmayk and etc.
At IU, CEUS usually offer most language learning opportunities than any other language departments in any regular semester. Of all the 50+ languages available on IU Bloomington campus, more than 10 are offered by CEUS.
