Language Centers Alliance in North America
CLE and CELT are members of the Language Center Alliance, founded in August of 2019. The Language Center Alliance provides "a forum for leaders of North American centers/units at post-secondary institutions that are involved in teaching and learning, research, advocacy, and/or outreach in world languages to share ideas, practices, concerns, and to look for areas of collaboration."
Big Ten Academic Alliance Member Universities
IU is a member of the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) universities. Through sustainable collaboration and using distance-learning technology tools, BTAA member universities provide access to less commonly taught language courses at other universities.More than 100 LCTL courses in 37 languages have been shared and delivered via live videoconference.Faculty enjoy the CourseShare program for the chance to collaborate with respected peers at BTAA universities, expand course enrollments with talented students, employ new technologies, and fill curricular gaps. National Network of Foreign Language Resource Centers
Two of sixteen Title VI National Foreign Language Resource Centers at IU promote the learning and teaching of less commonly taught languages (LCTLs) in the United States through the development of language learning materials (online courses, web and mobile applications, textbooks, multimedia resources), organizing professional development workshops, and conducting research.
