World Languages and Cultures Teaching Community

World Languages and Cultures Teaching Community (WL&CTC) Mission

The World Languages and Cultures Teaching Community (WL&CTC)’s mission is to offer a support group of language teachers at Indiana University and to recognize and reward world language teachers for their achievements and contributions.

The group aims to support personal and professional development goals and hopes to create a friendly group of colleagues and peers in the language community. As a Community, we want to have a safe space for language instructors to get to know one another, share our ideas, insights, and foster a collaborative group of like-minded individuals who want to expand language learning and development at Indiana University.

Additionally, this space will serve professional goals as well and encourages community members to share their research and professional development work. The WL&CTC was created by language educators at IU to help and support one another; it is a safe place to de-stress, re-energize, interact, share professional opportunities, collaborate, professional projects, organize pedagogical workshops and training with a diverse community of language instructors at Indiana University.

There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.
