Canvas Teacher and Student Mobile Apps

Do you know that Canvas and its many features can be accessed from both web browsers and mobile apps? Be aware that there are separate Canvas mobile apps--“Student” and “Teacher”--with different functionality for each group.

Both apps are available for iOS and Android. Below are the links for the two apps:

The Canvas mobile apps have many, but not all, of the features that are available on the web. The two documents below provide an easy visual comparison of web/app features for Student and Teacher versions across both operating systems:

To log in to the mobile apps

Once you have downloaded the relevant Canvas app, you will be asked to connect it to the IU Canvas environment once the app is opened. 

You may to prompted to either:  

• "Find your school or district,” -- enter Indiana University 
• Enter your Canvas URL -- enter http://iu.instructure.com 

You will then be led to log in with you IU username and passphrase.
