BH 115 is a computer language lab with 1 instructor station, 28 student stations (standard university computer lab PCs and software, plus Sanako Language Lab software) and high-quality audio headsets. Each station is divided by privacy/acoustic boards on both sides, and a board in front that can be raised or lowered. 10 of these workstations are also equipped with webcams. The instructor station and 17 student stations (see signs) are also installed with professional translation software SDL Trados. In addition to the fixed-position computer stations, the room has several modular tables that can be quickly repositioned for collaboration or other activities.
BH 115 is best used for language instruction requiring writing, listening and audio recording, as well as computer-based tests, research, and special projects. When this room is reserved for language classes or other language-related use, it is open to the IU community as an STC lab.
