AI Espresso

AI Espresso will meet weekly from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM.  Meeting days vary by month:

• January: Each Thursday
• February: Each Wednesday
• March: Each Thursday
• April: Each Wednesday

GA building: room TBA

In-person attendance is recommended, but remote participation options will be available.

• Strategies of using AI, especially generative AI, in studying languages and cultures, linguistic analysis, translation, etc. 
• Updates on new AI tools or features and their potential applications in studies of languages 
• Combining AI tools with other language learning technologies and methods 
• New concepts related to AI technologies and how it may relate to studies of languages 
• Criteria for content:
  • Ethical use is the foundational requirement.
  • Presentation, talk or demo should demonstrate one or more of the following: 
    • Practicality
    • Creativity and innovation
    • Thought-provoking ideas
    • Critical thinking 

Presentations can be up to 15 minutes in length but feel free to present as short as 3 minutes.  Each weekly event will feature one longer presentation or multiple shorter presentations.
