You may only register for courses that are offered to IU students. Overall class availability also depends on the number of students already registered, and the technology in the assigned classroom.
If you are enrolling in a language class above the beginning or elementary level, you will need to take a placement test to determine your level.
None of our current language courses are 100% asynchronous, which means you need to have regular time set aside for synchronous sessions, depending on the syllabus of the instructor. Multiple absences may cause the termination of your role in the class.
Courses follow the IUB academic year calendar.
Auditing a language course requires the prior permission of the department. Some departments do not allow auditing their language courses.
Fee policy: If you are located in Bloomington, IN or are a current student of IU, you are not eligible for the lower rate. Check the in-state/out-of-state and undergraduate/graduate fees: at Student Central @IU
