Language Information
Wolof, also called Senegalese, is a Niger-Congo language spoken as the mother tongue of the Wolof people and is the lingua franca in Senegal. There are also many Wolof speakers in the neighboring countries of Mauritania and The Gambia.
Indiana University does not currently offered Wolof courses, but has in the past. For future availability, please contact the African Studies Program.
