Language Information
Slovak is a West Slavic language that is the official language of Slovakia, as well as one of the official languages of the European Union. It is also spoken in neighboring countries by ethnic Slovaks.
Slovak is closely related to Czech due to long-standing historical and political ties between Slovaks and Czechs, and the two languages are largely mutually intelligible.
IU offers multiple Slavic language courses, including Czech and Polish, but not Slovak at this current time.
