Language Information:
Shona is a member of the Bantu branch of the Niger-Congo language family. It is spoken by about 12 million people mainly in Zimbabwe (according to Wikipedia), where more than 80% of the population are Shona speakers. There are also speakers in Zambia, Mozambique and Botswana.
It is one of the official languages of Zimbabwe (one of the 16 official languages) and recognized as a minority language in Mozambique.
