Language Information
Sethoto, also called Sotho, is a Southern Bantu spoken primarily by the Basotho people in Lesotho, where it is the national and official language; South Africa, where it is one of the 11 official languages; and in Zimbabwe where it is one of 16 official languages. There are approximately 6 to 7 million native Sesotho speakers.
Sesotho is not currently taught at Indiana University, but we do have access to some archived materials listed below.
