Kyrgyz is spoken by inhabitants of Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, XUAR of China (Kyrgyz people are one of the 55 officially recognized ethnical minority group, along with Uyghurs, Kazakhs,Uzbeks and etc.), and some area in Russia.
Due to old Soviet policy, Cyrillic alphabet became the most common alphabet for writing Kyrgyz and has remained so to this day, though some Kyrgyz still use the Arabic alphabet, particularly in the People's Republic of China.
For example,
Artux City("Atushi Shi" in Chinese, "ئاتۇش شەھىرى" in Uyghur) is the seat of Kizilsu Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture under XUAR of China,
In Arabic alphabets, it is written as "ارتىش شاارى"
But in Cyrillic alphabets, it is as" Артыш шаары"
